All Souls’ Day as a holiday with no classes is something I really appreciate, but it’s meaningful to me beyond just the break. It’s a day that reminds us to pause and think about those who have passed away—family, friends, and others who’ve had an impact on our lives. For me, the holiday is a blend of reflection and gratitude, where I get a chance to remember loved ones and honor their memories, which isn’t something I always stop to do in the busy flow of everyday life.

Not having classes on All Souls’ Day makes a difference because it lets me truly be present, whether that’s spending time with family or even visiting a loved one’s grave to pay my respects. It’s like the world slows down for a moment, giving everyone a chance to remember together. I find the day both comforting and grounding, as it reminds me of the importance of family and traditions, and I feel lucky to have the time to honor those who came before us.
